I’m Lex Pavone, the ceramic artist behind La Viva Verde. My focus is on one-of-a-kind, adorned ceramic creations. Inspired by ancient art, my trademark design features anthropomorphic vessels with human faces of different decoration and style. Many La Viva Verde forms are made using various hand-building techniques, with larger pieces coil-built and each face sculpted individually. This process allows creation to slow down, bringing intention into every level of the design process. Although the ceramic works are elaborate, they are meant to be used in everyday life. I hope my art pieces and their use will inspire ritual - a time to focus on the now and how sacred each moment is.
